Do you want your son to die in the sand while our Middle East allies desert their posts and use our military to continue their 500 year caliphate war and finally resent our presence and non Islamic government? We are the common enemy to both sides.
Zeitguy - March 7, 2015, 4:25 pm
Vietnam taught us that a war waged without tangible, attainable goals is ultimately futile and exclusive of the good intent.
Cyberhagen - March 7, 2015, 12:46 pm
It's lose-lose either way, with public opinion, but he's too worried about it: there are plenty of war weary Americans who would condemn a boots on the ground commitment, and plenty who feel we're not doing nearly enough.
Cyberhagen - March 7, 2015, 12:44 pm
Obama's hoping he can ride out the last 18 months or so without reopening the wound of Iraq. He doesn't want to tarnish his legacy of being the POTUS that ended the war, even if it going in would be the better choice for the world.
Oldsod - March 7, 2015, 7:03 am
Problem is, the condemnation is universal, but everyone is waiting for someone else to do what needs to be done. Meanwhile, the locals see the world doing pretty much nothing in the face of atrocities without count, and support radicalism to survive.
Zeitguy - March 6, 2015, 5:33 pm
Without universal (Muslims included) condemnation this radicalism will continue to evolve. Bombing will only solidfy their resolve and provide a " righteous " path to martyrdom.
Zeitguy - March 6, 2015, 4:48 pm
Been thinking about this serious threat and have been unable to come up with any viable solutions to eradicate this cancerous ideology.

You accuse the scientific community of perpetrating a hoax over AGW.#77008 There is your conspiracy theory. You also accuse members here of "pushing" AGW. There is your other conspiracy theory. Maybe they simply accept it. After all, it is accepted science
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 1:14 pm
the only conspiracy theory you see? you said [#76973]"Conspiracy theories?when have I pushed a conspiracy theory?" I see 2 in ONE post alone.#77006,(1)"The only conspiracy theory I see here is man-made global warming." (2)"And you clowns push it hard"

accepted science is not a conspiracy theory. that is why it is accepted.

The only conspiracy theory I see here is man-made global warming. And you, like the other global warming clowns here, push it hard.

narcissistically-formulated politicized thinking?!? Did you learn some new words and forget to look up the definitions?

but rather than accept those facts, you deny in favor of a conspiracy theory that you should at least be equally skeptical about if skepticism was truly your agenda. you are not, because trolling is your agenda.
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 2:15 am
you acknowledge that reputable researchers received govt grants, clearly that is public knowledge, as is their funding, which is disclosed. The denier scientist you are referring to was caught deliberately not disclosing his private corporate funding

you dont give those hardworking folks the benefit of the doubt. You flippantly dismiss their data while narcissistically favoring politicized talking points, which you should be (at least)equally skeptical about.Points to paranoid conspiracy minded thinking
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 1:49 am
researchers weren't from some sort of "Institute to find AGW." They're from depts focused on polar research and Earth sciences. whatever the data tells them is what eventually forms a consensus one way or another and reality just happens to have a bias.
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 1:32 am
who are actually generating the results that point to anthropogenic warming, so it can't possibly provide an incentive to them.what money is left, little of it actually go to scientists.
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 1:30 am
your argument displays a profound ignorance of how science and science funding work. the vast majority of that govt money is in the form of "Climate Technology," None of that money goes to the researchers
guest818 - June 9, 2015, 1:28 am
looks like your bu.tton was pushed again. you can tell when you drop another one of your "conspiracy theories", to answer you from earlier [#76973].Reputable AGW climate scientists are not engaging in shady practices involving govt funding, your contention

calron - March 21, 2015, 11:41 pm
You're past the point of plausible deniability so your circular reasoning doesn't make you right. Rather it highlights the cognitive biases of saying I have not done things I have and how far you'll go to aviod admitting that.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 11:25 pm
Yup. Called it
calron - March 21, 2015, 11:04 pm
Incorrect. Your narrative is false, but you cleave to it even in the face of evidence that it is wrong. That is an act of faith rather than reason. And of course when you faith is challenged you resort to insults rather than admitting the truth.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 10:32 pm
Persecution complex.
calron - March 21, 2015, 7:57 pm
And yet another series of attacks, even as you say that you do not have to do so. The fact is I did things you say I didn't and thus your narrative is false. Repeatedly insulting me will not change that.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 7:41 pm
Big words, small mind. Classic dilemma haunting political discourse. You confuse gibberish for facts and invested ego for conviction. I don't ridicule someone if the clown shoe fits. I don't have to. They put on the show. I sit back and watch
calron - March 21, 2015, 7:22 pm
So basically more ridicule to avoid admitting that you pushed a false narrative. The facts do not agree with you.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 6:58 pm
More gibberish. You offered evidence? Didn't know I was on trial. Your creation? Now you're sounding like Al Gore. Like him, you over-think things. Work on that if you want to be taken seriously
calron - March 21, 2015, 6:44 pm
Nope, I was offering evidence that you where espousing falsehoods. Notice how you diverged from the context of conversation in order to twist my statement into something else then attacked your own creation.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 6:31 pm
Patting yourself on the back because no one else will Cal? What does any of that have to do with the price of tea in China? Real winners don't brag about shooting down arguments or winning an argument. They don't have to. Do you believe in your ramblings?
calron - March 21, 2015, 6:07 pm
No, I never made fund of global warming (just some believers), sh** down a few anti MMGW nonsense arguments, and attacked both parties. So what we have is your insults based off of falsehoods against my facts. Your narrative is false.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 4:05 pm
I haven't presented any falsehoods. Pointing out the obvious. You're too ashamed to admit your conservative values. Insulting. Was simply sick of hearing a lonely hypocrite go on and on whining and moaning about other people. Get a life Cal.
calron - March 21, 2015, 3:56 pm
Correlation doesn't imply causation. And of course you presented a number of falsehoods here as well to base that on.
RonaldReagan - March 21, 2015, 3:53 pm
